XRUS Open House
The XR US Open House is open to new and active rebels alike. For this month’s session, we are excited to welcome a speaker from the upcoming Climate Justice Flotilla, which describes their mission as follows:
"The Climate Justice Flotilla is a collective political voyage across the Caribbean Sea, sailing through Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, and onward to Santa Marta, Colombia, for the first international conference on the phase-out of fossil fuels and a just transition. It is an act of transoceanic solidarity, historical reckoning, and future-making. By reclaiming maritime routes long shaped by colonialism, enslavement, and fossil extraction, the flotilla reorients the sea toward justice, sovereignty, and life beyond fossil fuels.
Rooted in anti-colonial, anti-imperialist, transfeminist, post-capitalist, and post-growth politics, the flotilla centers frontline and indigenous communities whose lands, waters, and bodies have borne the costs of extraction. We demand a binding global response to the ecological poly-crisis."
This is sure to be an inspiring presentation and an excellent opportunity to connect with international allies in the struggle for ecological justice. All are welcome!
