  go extinct every day. We can remain silent or we can lend our voices howe
 ver best we can to try to save them.\n\nOn the Brink takes place online on
  Monday November 30th at 2pm EST to commemorate Remembrance Day for Lost S
 pecies (www.lostspeciesday.org). We have 20 writers and cultural figures r
 eading new work and speaking to specific animals at threat from extinction
 . You'll hear from:\n\n- Margaret Atwood on the Tasmanian devil\n- Homero 
 Aridjis on the Vaquita porpoise\n- Emma Thompson on the puffin\n- Ben Okri
