  1958\, "It seemed that children and adults should be invited to see where
  "history was made".  That year\, Newburyport joined twenty nine other cit
 ies and towns in Massachusetts to celebrate Yankee Homecoming Week.  Today
 \, Newburyport is the last city to continue down this colonial trail of tr
 adition\, a week-long celebration ending with a grand Yankee Homecoming Pa
 rade down historic High Street.\n\nJoin Extinction Rebellion Emergency Eve
 rywhere Newburyport as we accompany the parade in XR Winds of Change style
  to sound the alarm around the Climate and Ecological Emergency.  EE Newbu
 ryport Rebels have been working for nearly one year to raise awareness and
  call on the City of Newburyport to Declare a Climate and Ecological Emerg
 ency.  Yet\, Newburyport's Mayor and Council are steadfast in their refusa
 l to declare. Let's use our collective voices to shout it out - Climate Ju
 stice Now!\n\nAction wear:  Wear all white.  Wear XR patches.\n\nParking a
 t and around the park.  Those with mobility issues might consider parking 
 at CVS (end of action) and carpooling to park for our meetup.
