 eve making change starts with skillful listening. When we feel heard or se
 en\, we're more open to hearing others. We all have this innate ability bu
 t in our high-speed world it requires some practice and some space to slow
  down and understand how to activate our natural capacity to listen.\n\nPl
 ease join us for an introductory exploration and training on the powerful 
 practice of active embodied listening. In this zoom session\, we will lear
 n about and explore active listening based on nonviolent communication and
  resonant empathy with guidance and support from a facilitator. We'll prac
 tice these skills in break-out groups.\n\nWe will be:\n\nLearning to hold 
 each other's experience with care and deep understanding\n\nDeveloping a f
 ramework for understanding human communication through embodied needs and 
 feeling\n\nUnderstanding our nervous system and how we can ground to estab
 lish a base of listening\n\nDeveloping foundations of embodied listening\n
 \nUnderstanding blocks to empathy\n\nBuilding a safe container to explore 
 and cultivate active listening\n\nFor more information on the practice vis

 y Brother Man (Man means Fulfillment in Vietnamese). Brother Man was ordai
 ned as a Buddhist Monk by Thích Nhất Hạnh at Plum Village. He's curre
 ntly training in Somatic Experiencing\, loves learning\, and integrating w
 isdom from many streams including Interpersonal Neurobiology and Non-viole
