 -have-climate-conversations/\n\n**RSVP HERE: [https://luma.com/48qim134](h
 ttps://luma.com/48qim134)**\n\nYou spend a week\, a weekend\, a demonstrat
ion\, a protest surrounded by people who GET IT.\n\nThe urgency for a b
etter future is shared. The language is inspiring and fitting. The energy
is real. But then on Monday morning you’re back to “real life” and y
our colleague wants to talk about their upcoming 3-day cruise\, your neigh
bor thinks wind turbines are an eyesore\, and the person who runs your tow
n's building department just killed the energy-efficient HVAC upgrade…ag
ain.\n\n**How do you not lose the thread of Boston Climate Week vibes\,
and progressive climate attitudes in general?**\n\nThis is a 2-hour pa
rticipatory session designed to help you process what you've learned about
the climate in spaces like Boston Climate Week and actually bring it home
with you. Not as a rant or lecture\, but as a genuine conversation that m
eets people in your life where they’re at.\n\n**We'll spend our time
together:**\n\n Reflecting and solidifying your experiences througho
ut the week and in general about the climate crisis\n\n Connecting w
hat you learned to the real places in your life where it can land: your te
 am\, your town\, your family dinner table\n\n Building a practical c
ommunication toolkit for talking about climate in real life\n\n Crea
ting a plan for applying what you’ve learned to real life.\n\nWe'll a
lso spend a little time with activist frameworks like the Overton Window a
nd Spectrum of Support to strengthen communications foundations and bring
more people into the movement for a life-sustaining future.\n\n**This e
vent is for you if:**\n\n You've had a great week (or activism seaso
 n) and you're dreading the come-down\n\n You care deeply about clima
te and you're tired of feeling like you can't talk about it with half the
people in your life\n\n You work in climate\, advocacy\, policy\, or
sustainability — or adjacent to it — and you want better tools for th
e real conversations\n\n You want to leave with something on paper a
nd not just in your head\n\nLight refreshments will be provided. Bring
 a mug for tea\, a notebook\, and a writing utensil. Come ready to think\,
 share\, and leave with a plan.\n\n**About the Facilitators:**\n\nJamie
McGonagill is a climate activist and climate communications consultant. Sh
e is the Media and Messaging coordinator for Extinction Rebellion (XR) Bos
ton and leads the communications team for Stop Private Jet Expansion at Ha
nscom or Anywhere (SPJE). Before she was hopelessly radicalized\, Jamie re
ceived degrees in Drama and Creative Writing from New York University's Ti
sch School of the Arts and worked in the trenches of New York's downtown t
heatre scene. Now she lives in Somerville with her dog Eli.\n\nLilly Wo
rthley is a facilitator and trainer who helps mission-driven organizations
do hard work in chaotic times with more clarity\, ease\, and joy. As foun
der of Mossy Collaborative\, she brings a decade of climate and social imp
act experience to the rooms she holds\, creating space for people to proce
ss what's heavy and/or stuck and leave with something they can actually us
 e. She currently lives in Maine with her husband and dog.
