  You will be empowered to engage in non-violent civil disobedience and hav
 e the opportunity to form an affinity group\, which is your creative team 
 and support system for Extinction Rebellion actions. Bring friends who you
  would like to form an affinity group with\, or make one with fellow rebel
 s that you meet while you're here!\n\nWe recommend that you attend an XR o
 rientation meeting before you attend our NVDA training. You can find the n

 n### Event logistics\n\nTime: Saturday August 17\, 11am-5pm. Please arrive
  at 10:50am to give yourself time to settle before the training begins\, a
 nd please plan to stay the entire time.\n\nLocation: First Church Jamaica

 an bring a contribution\, we will collect cash donations to help us cover 
 the costs of space rental. \n\n_Preparation for Civil Disobedience. Honori
 ng the movements we stand on. Building community for action._\n\nThis trai
 ning session will provide engagement on non-violence and the dynamics of c
 ivil disobedience\, offer scenarios and practical information for taking c
 ollective action\, and look at movement messages that convey powerful impa
 ct. Time to connect\, get energized\, and deepen readiness for being and a
