 IVE HOPE:  An introduction to The Work That Reconnects\n\nHow can we remai
 n resilient\, creative\, and empowered\nto act for the healing of our irre
 placeable world?\n\nThe Work That Reconnects\, developed by teacher/activi
 st Joanna Macy and others\, draws on deep ecology\, systems theory\, and e
 ngaged Buddhism. Practices include group meditations\, creative ritual\, c
 onversation in pairs\, dance\, and song. The work explores spiritual\, emo
 tional and intellectual aspects of envisioning and creating a life-sustain
 ing society.\n\nThis day-long experiential workshop is facilitated by memb
 ers of the Boston-area community of practice. We will offer practices in l
 ove and gratitude\, a ritual to acknowledge and honor our pain for the wor
 ld\, sources of hope and insight\, and tools for resilience and action to
