 ns at this non-violent direct action training! This training is for people
  who are interested in potentially doing civil disobedience as well as peo
 ple who want to play support roles. All of these roles are crucial to our 
 movement. \n\nYou will learn how to engage in non-violent civil disobedien
 ce and have the opportunity to form an affinity group\, which is your crea
 tive team and support system for Extinction Rebellion actions. Bring peopl
 e who you would like to form an affinity group with! You can also make one
  with fellow rebels that you meet while you're here.\n\n### Event logistic
 s\n\nTime: Saturday March 14\, 12PM-5PM. Please arrive at 11:50AM so that 
 you have time to settle before the training starts.\n\nLocation: Central C
 ongregational Church\, 14 Titcomb St.\, Newburyport\n\n### Beforehand\n\nW
 e recommend that you attend an 'Heading for Extinction' talk and an XR ori
 entation before you attend our NVDA training. There is a North Shore orien

  these events on our [calendar](https://xrmass.org/action#calendar). We re
 commend these because understanding the climate science and more about XR 
 will help you figure out how you'd like to be involved. \n\nIf you cannot 
 attend these events\, you are still welcome to attend the training. Instea
 d of the in-person events\, you may want to watch a version of the Heading
  for Extinction talk online (e.g. [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n
 __y1FXK_jE)). \n\n### What to bring\n\n- wear comfortable clothes\n\n- you
 r own plate\, cup\, and cutlery to minimize waste. We will provide snacks 
 and drinks during a short break.\n\n- if you have them\, people who you wo
 uld like to form an affinity group with. Don't worry if you can't\, there 
 will be amazing fellow rebels for you to build community with at the train
 ing! \n\n- This training is free. If you would like to and can bring a con
 tribution\, we will collect cash donations to cover our costs at the end o
