Free Dance Hour

Saturday, Jun 21

Free Dance Hour is an invitation to dance outside in community. Be yourself, connect with your fellow neighbors on this planet Earth, feel the sun on your back and grass on your feet.

What kind of dancing is welcome? Any! The whole hour will be appropriate for freestyle or ecstatic dance, but there will also be sections of the music set appropriate for different kinds of partner dance: swing, blues, fusion, or contact improv. No particular dance background needed, though! Just come ready to move to the music.

We will be on the Cambridge Common, a lovely park near Harvard Square. An update on exact location will be made day of. There are public bathrooms in the park. Bringing your own water bottle is recommended. If dancing on grass, please dance barefoot or in socks.

Organized by Extinction Rebellion Boston's dance affinity group. If you're interested in joining and participating other events using dance to spread awareness of, and advocate action on, the climate crisis, you can contact tim.c.peters@gmail.com.
